The highest summit of Thailand or the roof of Siam is at Doi Inthanon, It soars to 2,560 m. above sea level, Tourists can access this peak by car, The peak is surrounded by the hill evergreen forest which each tree is covered with moss and fern. Phramahathat Noppametanidon and Phramahathat Nopponphumsiri
The air force built these Phrathat to offer to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen in and occasion of 60th birthday. They are also a spot for breathaking scenery of mountain range covered with the forest.

chaingmai has several scenic roads running from one district to another district, for example, Hang Dong-Samoeng route, Chiangmai-Mae Rim, Samoeng route, San Khamphaeng-Mae On route, etc. One of the popular rooutes is Chom Thong-Doi Inthanon-Mae Cham route. The route begins begins on the Highway no.108 leading to Chom Thong district, then turns again at km.37 into the Highway no.1192 leading to Mae Cham.
